Scabies is widespread worldwide and is currently a risk to all age groups and, in particular, to residents of various types of nursing homes. Nurses and other staff providing care and assistance to the residents of these nursing homes are also at higher risk. Other high-risk groups for scabies are family members of both the nursing home residents and staff.

Svrab je rozšířen na celém světě a v současné době představuje riziko pro všechny věkové kategorie, obzvláště pro osoby, které jsou umístěny v lůžkových zařízeních různého typu.
