Sluch je vstupnou bránou komunikácie a patrí medzi základné zložky v procese získavania informácií, ktoré predstavujú zásadný prínos pre ľudský existenčný a vývojový potenciál. Zásadnou zložkou tohto procesu je normálna funkcia stredného ucha. Cieľom článku je priblížiť rekonštrukčné operácie ucha, ktorých úlohou je obnoviť funkciu stredného ucha a zabezpečiť zlepšenie sluchu a následnej komunikácie.

Hearing is the gateway of communication and is one of the basic components in the process of acquiring information, which represents a fundamental contribution to the existential and developmental potential of a person. An essential component of this process is the normal function of the middle ear. The article aims to provide an overview of ear reconstruction surgery, the task of which is to restore the function of the middle ear and ensure improvement of hearing and subsequent communication.

Microtia is a congenital malformation od the ear shell. If exists in several forms and correction of this primary aesthetic defect is achieved through several different methods and techniques. In this work we will presents the achievements of clinic of Otorhinolaryngology and solving the problems that strongly affect the psychological development and life of the child itself and also their family. Our hospital, University Hospital Center Sisters of Mercy, has been performing this operation since 2016's and so far we have returned a lot of smiles to face. Reconstruction is performed in two acts. We will also elaborate on the role of anesthesia both in preoperative preparation and postoperative with a review of the most important solution to postoperative pain.
