Mezinárodní sdružení osob s postižením (DPI), organizace zabývající se ochranou práv těchto osob a podporou jejich plného a rovnocenného uplatnění ve společnosti, vydalo stanovisko o bioetice a lidských právech s názvem: „Osoby s postižením mluví o nové genetice“. Text tohoto prohlášení je komentován v rámci širšího pohledu na současnou „bioetickou“ arénu. Pozornost je pak věnována především požadavku DPI na všeobsahující program školení všech zdravotnických a sociálních pracovníků z pohledu rovnosti postižených. Otázky, jak vyučovat lékařskou etiku v tomto kontextu, jsou podrobně diskutovány.

Disabled People International (DPI), human rights organisation committed to the protection of disabled people's rights and the promotion of their full and equal participation in society, has recently produced a position statement on bioethics and human rights - „Disabled People Speak on the NewGenetics“.The text is commented within the broader aspects of the present bioethics arena. The DPI demand, dealing with the necessity of a comprehensive programme of training for all health and social care professionals from a disability equality perspective, is stressed. Some views and remarks concerning the basis on which teaching of medical ethics should be built are also discussed.
