Historie využívání informačních a komunikačních technologií handicapovanými je velice mladá. Kompenzační pomůcky na bázi počítačů rozdělujeme do tří kategorií: pro pohybově, sluchově a zrakově postižené. Největší handicap při používání těchto moderních technologií mají zrakově postižení. Neustálý rozvoj hardwaru, softwaru a hlavně internetu zmírňuje překážky, které mohou vznikat při práci s těmito technologiemi handicapovanými ldmi.

The history of using information's and communication's technologies by the people with disabilities is very young. We devide compensation aids base on computers into three categories: for mobile, deaf and visual disabilities. The biggest handicap of using these modern technologies have people with visual disabilities. Continuous development of hardware, software and especially Internet reduces obstructions, which could arise from the work with these technologies by using people with disabilities.
