Lidská krev, z níž se vyrábějí transfuzní přípravky, je nenahraditelná a ničím nezastupitelná. Zatím se ji nepodařilo uměle vyrobit. Neexistují žádné „alternativní zdroje“ této vzácné tekutiny. Ani 21. století nepřineslo zásadní alternativu, která by plnila všechny funkce krve v lidském organismu.
Human blood which is used for transfusion products cannot be replaced by anything. The attempts to develop artificial blood have not been successful, and there is no alternative to this precious liquid. Even the 21st century has not brought an alternative product that would all the functions of the blood in human body.
