Prekancerózy pažeráka definujeme ako stavy s vyšším rizikom vzniku rakoviny pažeráka. Primárnym cieľom dispenzarizácie pacientov s prekancerózou je zachytiť ochorenie v skorom štádiu a znížiť výskyt pokročilých foriem rakoviny pažeráka. Za prekancerózy pažeráka sa považujú Barrettov pažerák, achalázia, stavy po poleptaní pažeráka, tylóza, Plummer-Vinsonov syndróm, prípadne niektoré benígne tumory pažeráka. V príspevku sa venujeme klinickému obrazu jednotlivých stavov, ako aj názorom na spôsob ich sledovania.

Esophageal precanceroses are defined as conditions with a higher risk of carcinoma of the esophagus. Primary aim of dispensarisation of patients with precancerosis is to catch the disease at early stage and decrease incidence of advanced forms of carcinoma of the esophagus. Precanceroses of the gullet include Barrett´s esophagus, achalasia, conditions after chemical burn, tylosis, Plummer-Vinson´s syndrome or some benign tumors of the gullet. The article presents clinical picture of particular conditions and attitudes to methods of follow-up.
