Kazuistika uvádí případ 63letého diabetika 2. typu léčeného perorálními antidiabetiky, vyšetřovaného pro opakované atypické hypoglykemie. Redukce, resp. vysazení hypoglykemizující léčby však nepřineslo očekávaný efekt. Článek přináší nahlédnutí do diferenciální diagnostiky hypoglykemií a problematiky hypoglycaemia factitia.

The case report presents a 63-year-old patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus on oral antidiabetic therapy, who was examined for a repeated atypical hypoglycaemia. However, reduction or withdrawal of hypoglycaemic therapy does not bring the expected effect. The article provides an insight into a differential diagnosis of hypoglycaemia and into the term hypoglycaemia factitia.
