Brachyterapie je pokročilá metoda radioterapie používaná při léčbě onkologických onemocnění. Umožňuje nám zavedení radioaktivního zdroje přímo do nádoru nebo do jeho těsné blízkosti. Emphasis is placed on proper patient education about the care of the irradiated area and the plastic catheters. This article focuses on the role of the nurse in the care of patients undergoing interstitial brachytherapy for penile cancer, breast cancer and ENT region tumors.
