Definice

Enzym, který katalyzuje připojení telomery k lineárnímu konci DNA. Jde o modifikovanou reverzní transkriptázu, která umí prodlužovat opožďující se řetězec na jeho 3'konci, čímž zabraňuje zkracování lineárních replikonů. (cit. Velký lékařský slovník online, 2016 http://lekarske.slovniky.cz)
