Cíl studie: Cílem retrospektivní studie bylo prezentovat výsledky rocní práce Oddelení resuscitace a intenzivní medicíny (ORIM) pri Klinice anesteziologie, resuscitace a intenzivní medicíny (KARIM) Lékarské fakulty Masarykovy univerzity v Brne a Fakultní nemocnice Brno. Typ studie: Retrospektivní deskriptivní studie. Název a sídlo pracovište: Klinika anesteziologie, resuscitace a intenzivní medicíny Lékarské fakulty Masarykovy univerzity v Brne a Fakultní nemocnice Brno. Materiál a metoda: Do retrospektivní studie bylo zahrnuto období jednoho roku od vzniku ORIM, tedy od 1. 10. 2005 do 30. 9. 2006. Sledovali jsme následující parametry: pocet lužek, pocet hospitalizovaných pacientu a parametry jejich hospitalizace, personální a prístrojové vybavení kliniky a zpusob organizace práce na klinice. Výsledky: Oddelení má v soucasné dobe 23 lužek a je tak nejvetším pracovištem tohoto typu na Morave. V dubnu 2006 byl celému pracovišti udelen statut kliniky. KARIM se významne podílí na pre- i postgraduálním vzdelávání lékarských a nelékarských profesí. V prvním roce provozu resuscitacní cásti bylo na lužkách ORIM hospitalizováno 897 pacientu s prumernou délkou hospitalizace 6,4 dne, se smrtností 13,5 % pri prumerném skóre APACHE II 20,55. Záver: Podarilo se vytvorit materiálne i personálne stabilizované pracovište, které poskytuje multidisciplinární resuscitacní a vyšší intenzivní péci na vysoké úrovni pacientum s velmi širokým spektrem diagnóz z rozsáhlého území.
Department of resuscitation and intensive care medicine of the Department of anaesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care medicine of the Medical School of Masaryk University and University Hospital Brno. Design: Retrospective descriptive study. Setting: The Department of anaesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care medicine of the Medical school of Masaryk University and University Hospital Brno. Material and methods: The article describes our one-year experience, from 1st October 2005 to 30th September 2006, at this centralized institution of resuscitation and intensive care in a large teaching hospital. The evaluated parameters were the capacity of the department, the number of patients and parameters of their hospitalization, the staffing and equipment of the department and the work organization of the department. Results: The department has 23 beds and it is the largest department of its kind in Moravia. The department became a teaching department in April 2006. The Department of anaesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care medicine greatly participates in the undergraduate and postgraduate education of medical and non-medical professionals. During the first year 897 patients were hospitalized in the Department with the average length of stay 6.4 days, mortality of 13.5% and the average APACHE II score of 20.55. Conclusion: The new department has successfully become established as a substantive part of the high standard of resuscitation and intensive care in Moravia.
