Souhrn: Kazuistické sdělení pojednává o náhodném nálezu laterální periodontální cysty. Upozorňuje na některá úskalí diagnostiky cystických afekcí čelistních kostí, založené na podrobném klinickém a rentgenovém vyšetření. Popisuje možnosti terapie této cysty a prevenci vzniku její recidivy, spočívající v kompletní exstirpaci cystického vaku. Definitivní diagnózu laterální periodontální cysty potvrdí či spíše stanoví histologické vyšetření.
Summary: Case report deals with an accidental finding of the lateral periodontal cyst. It warns about some pitfalls of the diagnostics of cystis lesions of jaws based on the detailed clinical and X-ray examination. There are described possibilities of the treatment and prevention of the recurrence of the cyst, consisting of the complete removal of the cystic saccule. Definitive diagnosis of the lateral periodontal cyst is verified or rather determined by histological examination.
