Začátkem června 2013 byly Čechy postiženy katastrofální povodní. Vedle středního Polabí s relativně silným, nikoliv však extrémním, výskytem komárů po povodni [1] to bylo hlavně Třeboňsko, kde se výskyt bodajících komárů po povodni blížil hodnotám tzv. kalamitního stavu. Proti larvám komárů byl velkoplošně použit mikrobiální přípravek Vectobac 12 AS aplikovaný pozemním i leteckým postřikem líhnišť komárů. Proti létajícím komárům byl lokálně použit i přípravek Aqua K-Othrine.

Early in June 2013, Bohemia was hit by disastrous floods. They were followed by a relatively large but not extreme emergence of mosquitoes in the central Elbe basin [1] and by a severe outbreak of biting mosquitoes close to an alert level in the Třeboň area. Ground and aerial Vectobac 12 AS larviciding was used for larval control and Aqua K-Othrine thermal fogging was carried out locally to control flying mosquitoes.
