Úvod: Agresia a násilie v zdravotníckych zariadeniach sa celosvetovo zvyšuje a často je vysvetľovaná stresujúcim prostredím. Zdravotníci prichádzajú do pomerne úzkeho kontaktu s pacientmi, ktorí bývajú často ovplyvnený svojou chorobou, bývajú v psychickej i fyzickej nepohode trpiaci pocitom bezmocnosti. Prostredníctvom výskumu analyzujeme problematiku výskytu agresívneho správania pacientov v zdravotníckych zariadeniach. Metódy: Na overenie hypotéz sme použili nástrojmi induktívnej štatistiky. Väčšinu premenných sme si zvolili nominálne, vzhľadom k tomu na overenie hypotéz sme použili test nezávislosti chí kvadrát χ2 test vhodný pre tieto premenné. Rozhodnutie o významnosti rozdielov vykonávame na základe vypočítanej p-hodnoty a hladine významnosti 0,05. Výsledky: Analýzou výsledkov sme zistili, že zdravotnícki pracovníci sa stretávajú s agresiou, agresívnym správaním pacientov či už odôvodnene alebo nie záleží na uhle pohľadu. Dôležité je, že vo veľkej miere dokážu rozpoznať príznaky agresívneho správania. Podstatná časť respondentov v zdravotníckych zariadeniach kde bol vykonaný výskum má záujem o získavanie ďalších informácii o danej problematike. Záver: Práca v zdravotníctve je z hľadiska odbornej pripravenosti náročným povolaním, obzvlášť práca sestier. Zdravotnícky pracovníci nesú veľkú profesionálnu zodpovednosť, je preto potrebné aby zvládali komunikáciu s pacientom obzvlášť agresívnym a musia sa neustále vzdelávať.

Introduction: Aggression and violence in healthcare facilities is increasing worldwide and is often explained by a stressful environment. Healthcare workers come into relatively close contact with patients who are often affected by their illness, are in a mental and physical disorder and suffering from a sense of helplessness. We analyze through research the issue of aggressive behavior of patients in healthcare facilities. Methods: We used inductive statistics to verify hypotheses. For most of the variables were chosen the nominals and we used the chi quadratic independence test x2 suitable for these variables. Decision on the significance of the differences is based on the calculated p value and the significance level of 0.05. Results: By analyzing the results we found out that health care workers are confronted with aggression, aggressive behavior of patients, whether reasonably or not, depending on the point of view. The important thing is that they can largely recognize the signs of aggressive behavior. Most of the respondents in the health care facilities where the research was performed is interested in obtaining further information on the issue. Conclusion: Healthcare work is a demanding profession, especially nursing work, in terms of professional readiness. Health care professionals have a great deal of professional responsibility, so they need to handle communication with particularly aggressive patient and they must be constantly educated.
