Příspěvek seznamuje s výsledky výzkumného šetření, které bylo provedeno u vyučujících přípravných tříd základních škol speciálních v ČR. Tento výzkum se zabývá otázkou aplikace prostředků alternativní a augmentativní komunikace (AAK). Vyučující odpovídali na otázky týkající se užívání prostředků AAK v jejich praxi. Vyjádřili svůj názor na efektivitu užívání prostředků AAK v procesu edukace osob s mentálním postižením a vytyčili překážky aplikace prostředků AAK.

This paper examines the application of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) techniques. Teachers of preparatory classes in Czech special schools participated in this study. They were questioned about the usage of AAC in their work. Opinions on the efficiency of AAC for the education of the mentally handicapped were elicited and obstacle for the application of AAC were identified.
