Correction on the type depositories of some species of Cerambycidae, often reported as being in Museum of Stettin, Stettin, Poland (CMSP), are reported. The holotype of Quercivir dohrni Lameere, 1912 was located, and comments on it are provided. A forgotten correction on the type locality of Sypilus venturae Dohrn, 1882 is presented. Prionapterus staphilinus schaeferi Bosq, 1947 is transferred from synonymy with P. woltersi Bruch, 1925 to synonymy with P. staphilinus Guérin-Méneville, 1831. Sphecogaster biplagiatus Lacordaire, 1868 is formally synonymized with Sphecomorpha chalybea Newman, 1838, and notes on the holotype of Physopleurus dohrnii Lacordaire, 1869 are provided. Additionally, photographs of some Cerambycidae deposited in the Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, Müncheberg, Germany (DEIC) collection are provided.
The holotype and additional specimens of the Tasmanian endemic Phelea breviceps Hansen, 1999, and the holotype of Crenitis neogallica Gentili, 1996 were examined in order to explore their generic and tribal placement. The morphology of Phelea is illustrated in detail, its male genitalia are described for the first time, and it is confirmed as a member of Anacaenini, sharing numerous characters with Crenitis Bedel, 1881 and the New Zealand endemic Horelophus walkeri Orchymont, 1913. Crenitis neogallica is removed from Anacaenini and transferred to the rygmodine genus Pseudohydrobius Blackburn, 1898 (as Pseudohydrobius neogallicus (Gentili, 1996) comb. nov.) and its holotype is illustrated. The genus Crenitis is hence removed from the Australian fauna.

Chicken turtles, Deirochelys reticularia (Latreille in Sonnini et Latreille) (Testudines: Emydidae) from Alabama, USA were infected by Spirorchis collinsi Roberts et Bullard sp. n. and Spirorchis cf. scripta. The new species is most easily differentiated from its congeners by the combination of having caeca that extend far beyond the genitalia, intercaecal genitalia positioned in the middle portion of the body, a testicular column that nearly abuts the caecal bifurcation, a cirrus sac positioned between the testes and ovary, a massive Mehlis' gland, an elongate, longitudinal metraterm that extends anteriad beyond the level of the ovary, a pre-ovarian genital pore, and a prominent, intercaecal Manter's organ. The specimens of S. cf. scripta differed from the holotype and published descriptions of Spirorchis scripta Stunkard, 1923 by several subtle morphological features, perhaps comprising intraspecific variation, but collectively warranted a detailed description herein. Based on examinations of the aforementioned specimens plus the holotype, paratypes and vouchers of morphologically-similar congeners, Spirorchis MacCallum, 1918 is emended to include the presence of oral sucker spines, a pharynx, lateral oesophageal diverticula ('plicate organ') and a median oesophageal diverticulum ('oeseophageal pouch'). Phylogenetic analysis of the nuclear large subunit rDNA (28S) recovered S. collinsi sister to Spirorchis picta Stunkard, 1923, > 99% similarity between S. cf. scripta and S. scripta, and a monophyletic Spirorchis MacCallum, 1918. No blood fluke infection has been reported previously from these drainages, Alabama, or this turtle species. This is the first new species of Spirorchis to be described from North America in 26 years.
The holotype of Margarinotus (Paralister) longus (Bickhardt, 1910) is re-described and figured. A key to the species of the subgenus Paralister Bickhardt, 1917 of the genus Margarinotus Marseul, 1853 from the Balkans is given.

A new species of Bothinodroctonus in the tribe Polygraphini is described from Gambia and Kenya. This is the first representative of the genus in Afrotropical region. A holotype based description contains also the intraspecific variety of the newly described species based on available specimens and differential diagnoses to species within the genus.

In my 2003 paper (Hlaváč 2003) dealing with a revision of the Pselaphodes complex of genera, I neglected to explicitly designate a depository of the holotype of Taiwanophodes minor Hlaváč sp. n. Under ICZN (1999): Article 16.4.2 this omission invalided its description and the species name. I herein rectify this problem.

A new genus and species, Pseudobasidissus barclayi Trýzna & Baňař gen. nov. et sp. nov. (Anthribidae: Anthribinae: Platyrhinini), from Madagascar is described. Male and female genitalia are studied and illustrated. Colour photographs of the holotype and genitalia of both sexes are provided. Comparison is made with the similar genus Basidissus Fairmaire.

External and internal morphological characters of the holotype of Enobarbus maculatus were examined and compared with those of other cobitid species to verify whether Enobarbus is a distinct genus. Analyses of radiographs demonstrated that the neural spines and the pterygiophores of the dorsal fin are of irregular shape, often doubled, reduced or bent. The holotype of E. maculatus bears an ossified structure on the last pectoral-fin ray, a structure otherwise known only from males of the genus Lepidocephalichthys. In Lepidocephalichthys, the shape of the ossified structure is species-specific, and the structure of Enobarbus is very similar to that of Lepidocephalichthys thermalis, the only other known species of the family Cobitidae occurring at the type locality of Enobarbus. Furthermore, the cranial and the axial skeleton of E. maculatus is similar to that of L. thermalis, except for the pterygiophores and the neural spines, that are strongly malformed in Enobarbus. In general, the results presented here show that the genus Enobarbus shares the most important characters (thickening of last two pectoral-fin rays in males, structure of swimbladder capsule, shape of neurocranium and suborbital spine) with Lepidocephalichthys and that its long dorsal fin is correlated with strong malformations of the vertebral column and the fin ray insertions. Consequently, the only known specimen of Enobarbus is most likely a teratological male of L. thermalis, and Enobarbus is a junior synonym of Lepidocephalichthys.

The genus Rhynchocalamus comprises three species distributed in Southwest Asia. Little is known about them, most probably because of their secretive fossorial lifestyle. The poor knowledge of the genus is even underscored by the fact that its phylogenetic affinities remained unclear until very recently. The least known of the species, Rhynchocalamus arabicus, is known only from the holotype collected in Aden, Yemen, and it has not been observed since its description in 1933. Here we provide a second record for this species, which represents the first record of this genus for Oman. This extends its range in southern Arabia by more than 1000 km. The observed specimen was determined as R. arabicus on the basis of its similarity in size, color, and scalation with the holotype. Furthermore, we sequenced three mitochondrial (12S, 16S, cytb) and one nuclear (cmos) genes for R. arabicus and for two individuals of R. melanocephalus and one R. satunini and inferred the phylogenetic relationships of all currently recognized species of the genus for the first time. The results of our phylogenetic analyses indicate that Rhynchocalamus is a member of the Western Palearctic clade of Colubrinae and is sister to Lytorhynchus, with which it forms a very well supported clade and shares some morphological characters. As our results show, R. satunini is the basal lineage of the genus and R. melanocephalus is sister to R. arabicus.

Chrysoclista karsholti Šumpich, sp. n., is described from a single male collected in Turkey. This species most resembles C. germanica Šumpich Huemer, 2016, but differs in the colouration of the dorsum of the forewing and in the shape of the valva in the male genitalia. Differences in the DNA barcode region between these two species are rather low compared to differences between other species of the genus. Chrysoclista germanica, previously known only from the holotype, is recorded from the Czech Republic for the first time. An updated checklist of western Palaearctic Chrysoclista Stainton, 1854 is provided.
