Aim: To determine the level of teamwork among nursing staff in a selected teaching hospital and identify factors that influence the level of teamwork. Design: A descriptive cross-sectional study. Methods: The sample included 292 nursing staff working in a teaching hospital in the Žilina region of Slovakia. Data collection was carried out between April and June 2022 using the Nursing Teamwork Survey (NTS). Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The mean score for the NTS was 2.87 (SD = 0.56) demonstrating a positive perception of teamwork less than 75% of the time. The highest evaluated subscale was the shared mental model (3.23 ± 0.62). Differences were found in the evaluation of teamwork according to education, job position, working hours, total and current professional experience, intention to leave, and staffing adequacy. The correlation analysis revealed associations between teamwork and variables related to satisfaction and quality and safety evaluation. Several variables predicted the general evaluation of teamwork (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The evaluation of teamwork may point to its different perception among members of nursing teams. It may also help to identify strengths and weaknesses of nursing teams and, consequently, to implement effective techniques focused on improving teamwork and, thus, the quality of nursing care in hospitals.

INTRODUCTION: Health problems in sport cause a major burden on several pillars: sport clubs, health and insurance system and mostly the individual athlete. There is limited knowledge in supporting dual-career athletes firmed on evidence-based research in injury/illness prevention, load and stress management. The main goal of this research approach is to determine how specific physical, psychosocial and dual-career loads affect the occurrence of injuries and illnesses in elite handball players and how much of a variation in the athlete's load leads to an occurrence of an injury/illness. A secondary aim is to determine the association between objective and subjective measures of stress as well as examine the benefits of certain biomarkers to monitor stress, load and injury/illness occurrence in athletes. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: This prospective cohort study, as part of a PhD project, will be carried out on 200 elite handball players of first men's handball league in Slovenia during an entire handball season, lasting from July 2022 to June 2023. Primary outcomes, including health problems, loads and stress, will be assessed weekly on a player level. Other player-related outcomes will include anthropometry, life event survey and blood biomarkers (cortisol, free testosterone and Ig-A), which will be taken three to five times across the observation period according to the players' training cycle. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION: The project was approved by the National Medical Ethics Committee of Slovenia (number: 0120-109/2022/3) and will be conducted in compliance with the most recent version of Helsinki Declaration. The study results will be published as peer-reviewed articles, congress presentations and as a Doctoral thesis. The results will not only be of importance for the medical and sports community for development of new injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies but also for structuring the correct policy recommendations for athletes' general health. TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER: NCT0547129.

Background: Many specific games are practiced with the aim of maintaining the possession of the ball by the team. Among them, possession games (POG) are similar to small-sided games (SSG), and as such, have a few different characteristics. Objective: The aim of this study was to compare high-intensity patterns of professional soccer players in relation to the positional role between POG and SSG in professional soccer. Methods: A descriptive analysis was conducted over one season, during typical training sessions with 5 vs. 5 designs and 10 official matches. Twenty-six male professional players (age 24.7 ± 5 years, body mass 73.6 ± 7 kg, body height 178.4 ± 6.2 cm) were classified into five positional roles: central defender, wide defender, midfielder, wing and forward. Players' locomotor activity was recorded using GPS (Openfield-CatapultTM). Data on total distance, player-load, work rates (distance covered at speed > 14.9 km/h per min and distance covered at speed > 19.9 km/h per min), the number of runs in work rates, very high-intensity accelerations-decelerations (> 3.5 / < -3.5 m/s2) and maximal speed were measured. Results: The analysis of the data showed higher performance for POG in seven of the nine study variables (p < .01), except in accelerations where the SSG were higher than POG (p < .01), while no significant difference was obtained in decelerations. When comparing performance among playing positions, significantly higher values were observed in POG (p < .05) in the same variables (no differences for the wingers in total distance and player-load; wide defenders and forwards in distance covered at speed > 19.9 km/h per min). Regarding accelerations, SSG outperformed POG in almost all game positions (p < .05, except for wide defenders). No significant differences were found in decelerations for all positions. Conclusions: The findings suggest that POG could be used to stimulate the physical demands to which players are exposed to competitions. Moreover, SSG could be used as an exercise with greater intentionality when it comes to stimulating a significant number of accelerations per unit time.
Physical education can enable students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to live positive experiences and adopt a healthy lifestyle. However, motivation may be a critical factor in their success. In this perspective, the context personalization approach could be valuable to support the interests and motivation of students with ASD in physical education. This qualitative interpretative research documents the Situational Interest dimensions of four high school male students with ASD (14 years old, boys) following a team sports unit conceived and personalized by their physical education teacher to meet their interest in video games. After the unit, the four students and the teacher realized a semi-structured interview. According to thematic analyses, students' situational interest was elicited. The dimensions of instant enjoyment, challenge and novelty were predominant. The emulation system, as a part of the context personalization related to video games, ends up in every dimension and sheds original light on the motivation conditions. In light of the present results, the context personalization approach, based on the interests and preferences of students, is a promising avenue to support interest in PE. However, differences between the students' and the teachers' perspectives underline the need to consider students' voices regarding their interest in physical education.

Náš príspevok práve prostredníctvom IPA a interview životného príbehu umožňuje čítať životnú knihu jednej osoby. Kapitoly tejto knihy obsahujú nielen vý pis symptó mov ADHD, ale aj ich prež í vanie a interpretá ciu konkré tnym č lovekom, ich dopad na viaceré oblasti jeho ž ivota, č i rôzne efektí vne č i menej efektí vne straté gie zvlá dania tejto poruchy. Naprí klad pros- tredníctvom metafory „tlakového hrnca“, ktorú nám ponúka náš participant, máme možnosť nahliadnuť doreálnych skú seností č loveka, ktorý svoje vnú tro prirovnáva k variacej vode. Interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) gives us an insight into the experiences of individuals and brings us closer to what it is like to be and live with, for example, a specific disorder such as attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder - ADHD. ADHD is not typical only for childhood, some symptoms are persistent and manifest themselves also in adulthood. The presence of ADHD may affect how an individual experiences the moments of their life. This paper allows us to read the life book of one person through the IPA and life story interview. The chapters of this book contain not only a list of ADHD symptoms, but also the participant ́s experiences and interpretations, their impact on several areas of his life, or various effective or less effective coping strategies for this disorder. For example, through the metaphor of a "steam pot" offered by our participant, we have an opportunity to understand the real experiences of a person who compares their inner self to boiling water. When this water builds up an unbearable pressure, it explodes.
