OBJECTIVE: This scoping review aims to identify, catalogue, and characterize previously reported tools, techniques, methods, and processes that have been recommended or used by evidence synthesizers to detect fraudulent or erroneous data and mitigate its impact. INTRODUCTION: Decision-making for policy and practice should always be underpinned by the best available evidence-typically peer-reviewed scientific literature. Evidence synthesis literature should be collated and organized using the appropriate evidence synthesis methodology, best exemplified by the role systematic reviews play in evidence-based health care. However, with the rise of "predatory journals," fraudulent or erroneous data may be invading this literature, which may negatively affect evidence syntheses that use this data. This, in turn, may compromise decision-making processes. INCLUSION CRITERIA: This review will include peer-reviewed articles, commentaries, books, and editorials that describe at least 1 tool, technique, method, or process with the explicit purpose of identifying or mitigating the impact of fraudulent or erroneous data for any evidence synthesis, in any topic area. Manuals, handbooks, and guidance from major organizations, universities, and libraries will also be considered. METHODS: This review will be conducted using the JBI methodology for scoping reviews and reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Databases and relevant organizational websites will be searched for eligible studies. Title and abstract, and, subsequently, full-text screening will be conducted in duplicate. Data from identified full texts will be extracted using a pre-determined checklist, while the findings will be summarized descriptively and presented in tables. Popularity of natural-based preparations supporting the sexual potency significantly increased in recent years, which also led to the increase of illegal use of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE-5) in sexual performance enhancement products. In this study, a rapid U-HPLC‒HRMS/MS method has been developed to simultaneously determine 59 PDE-5 inhibitors and their analogues. Within the development of sensitive method for analysis of 59 PDE-5 inhibitors and their analogues, both sample preparation procedure, as well as separation / detection conditions have been optimized. Extraction efficiency of particular extraction solvents, influence of different mobile phase additives on target analytes separation, as well as impact of various settings of mass analyzer on sensitivity of detection were examined. Data were collected in the 'full MS/data dependent MS/MS' acquisition mode (full MS-dd-MS/MS). Before the U-HPLC‒HRMS/MS method was used for analysis of real samples, proper validation had been conducted. The precision of the method expressed as the relative standard deviation (RSD) was ≤4.2% and ≤5.2% at spiking concentrations 5 μg/g and 0.25 μg/g, respectively. The limits of quantification were in the range 0.25 - 0.05 μg/g and the recovery ranged between 71 and 90%. The optimized method was successfully applied for analysis of 64 real samples, and 10 of them were proved to contain both registered or unregistered synthetic PDE-5 inhibitors. Additionally, the acquired U-HPLC‒HRMS/MS fingerprints were demonstrated to serve as an efficient tool for revealing of other type of possible fraud in products labeling. Retrospective mining of markers of herbs declared on dietary supplements packaging allowed to assess the trueness / untruth in the declaration of medical herbs composition.

V této přehledové studii se zabýváme některými rizikovými faktory ve sportu dětí a mládeže. Na příkladech výzkumů zabývajících se dopingem, násilím a fair play ukazujeme, jak mohou normy vrcholového sportu zdůrazňující soutěžní výsledky, maximální výkon a vítězství za každou cenu přispívat k rizikovému chování sportujících dětí a mládeže, jako je například zneužívání dopingu, nepřiměřené agresivitě či porušování pravidel a zásad fair play. Toto rizikové chování pak nezůstává omezeno pouze na kontext sportu, ale může se přenášet i do běžného života mimo sport.

In present overview study, we focus on some possible risk factors in child and youth sport. In the overview of contemporary research focusing on doping, violence and fair play, we show how the norms of contemporary competitive sport emphasizing results, maximal performance and victory at all cost may support risk behavior in sporting children and youth, such as doping abuse, inappropriate aggression, or breaking rules and fair play. It seems that this risk behavior is not limited only to the context of sport but translates also in the life outside sport.

Obyvatelé České republiky jsou každý den vystavováni různým situacím, ve kterých může být ohrožena jejich bezpečnost, zdraví, život nebo jejich majetek. Tyto situace musí být odpovídajícím způsobem řešeny nejen na úrovni obce nebo kraje, ale i na úrovni státu. Tato práce se zabývá bezpečnostním výzkumem v České republice, jeho definicí a zaměřením vycházejícím z dokumentů vydávaných vládou České republiky a odborníky, kteří se zajímají o toto téma. Přibližuje způsob analýzy a predikce bezpečnostních hrozeb na našem území a uvádí samotné hrozby, včetně jejich vysvětlení. Dále pak připomíná pojmy jako např. sekuritologie a obranná politika České republiky po roce 1989. Závěrem pak přibližuje několik konkrétních případů bezpečnostních hrozeb pro utvoření představy, a to zejména obchod s lidmi, korupční situace a hrozbu nedostatku vody. Finalizace článku se odehrává v době, kdy Českou republiku zasáhly téměř na celém území státu rozsáhlé povodně. Zkušenosti získané analýzou dat ukážou, jak realisticky byl zaměřen Bezpečnostní výzkum pro potřeby státu na období let 2010 až 2015 (BV II/1-VZ). Při jeho tvorbě se vycházelo z potřeb nových poznatků, postupů a metod jejich šíření a zejména jejich využití v bezpečnostní praxi při zajišťování významných úkolů spojených s vnitřní bezpečností státu a jeho obyvatel. Cíl programu byl stanoven na základě výzkumných potřeb jednotlivých rezortů a ostatních státních institucí, které v rámci svěřené působnosti plní úkoly v oblasti vnitřní bezpečnosti a ochrany obyvatelstva České republiky. Program také reflektuje návrh novely zákona o podpoře výzkumu a vývoje a byl zpracován jako program výzkumu a vývoje realizovaný veřejnou zakázkou.

Citizens of the Czech Republic are daily exposed to various situations in which their safety, health, life or property may be jeopardized. These situations must be adequately addressed not only at the level of municipalities and regions, but also at the state level. This work deals with the security research in the Czech Republic, its definition and focus, based on documents issued by the Government of the Czech Republic and professionals with an interest in the subject. It presents the way of analyzing and predicting security threats to our country and mentions the threats themselves, including their explanation. Furthermore, it mentions concepts such as securitology and defence policy of the Czech Republic after 1989. At the end, it clarifies several specific cases of security threats in order to get the picture, especially human trafficking, corruption situation and the threat of water shortage. Finalization of the article is happening at a time when almost the entire expanse of the Czech Republic was affected by extensive flooding. The experience gained by analyzing data show how realistic was the focus of security research for the State for the period 2010–2015 (BV II/1-VZ). Its elaboration was based on the needs of the new knowledge, practices and methods of distribution and in particular their use in practice in ensuring the security of important tasks related to the internal security of the state and its people. The objective of the program was determined on the basis of the research needs of individual ministries and other state institutions that fulfill the tasks in the area of internal security and protection of the population in the Czech Republic within the scope of their entrusted authority. The program also reflects an amendment to the promotion of research and development and has worked as a research and development program implemented by public tender.
