Kazuistika demonstruje psychogenní etiologii chronické, zdánlivě periferní bolesti kolenních kloubů a dalších poruch 20leté studentky. Hledá odpověď na otázky, zda může být její somatická bolest transformovanou bolestí psychickou, proč je lokalizovaná v oblasti kloubů a proč právě kloubů kolenních. Možný výklad somatizace psychické bolesti pacientky poskytla alexitymie a její komplexové pozadí. Příčiny dalších poruch (porucha artikulace řeči, dysgrafie, fyzická neobratnost aj.) naznačily etymologické souvislosti pojmu "artikulace" (znamenající výslovnost, ale i kloub a také členění) a jejich důsledky. To dovolilo spojit zdánlivě nesourodé poruchy pacientky do smysluplného celku a naznačilo možné důvody propojení vjemů z oblasti kloubů s psychickou bolestí. Na specifický význam kolenních kloubů pak upozornila finální analýza. Na těchto závěrech je pak založena efektivní psychoterapie dynamického typu.

The case report demonstrates psycho-gonical etiology of a chronic, seemingly peripheral pain in knee joints and other disorders of 20 year old student. It looks into questions whether the patients somatic pain could be transformed psychological sufferings of the patinet and why the pain is located in the area of joints and why just in the knee joints. Alexithymia and the patients complexes provided possible explanation why her psychological pain was expressed by somatic disorders. Causes of other disorders (disorder of speech articulation, dysgraphia, physical clumsiness etc.) indicated etymologic connection with the concept "articulation" (meaning pronunciation but also a jonit and speech articulation) and their effects. This allowed joining apparent heterogeneous disorders of the patient into a meaningful unit which implied possible reasons of the interconnection between sensations from the joint areas and the patients psychical pain. Final analysis drew attenttion to specific significance of the knee joints. These conclusions served as the basis of effective psychotherapy of dynamic type.
