The study deals with the employment of people diagnosed with mental illness in the position of peer worker. The aim is to demonstrate through semi-structured interviews the involvement of peer workers in the social services for people diagnosed with mental illness and to identify the influences that affect the success of peer workers involvement in services. The results of the interviews were divided into two categories (Position Specifics, Ethical Aspects) and four subcategories (Professionalism, Risk Moments, Stigmatization, Shared Values) using the Coding Method. The individual subcategories were further subdivided in detail. The results show that the most negative influence on the successful involvement of peer workers is the unclear definition of the job role and responsibilities and further, from an ethical point of view, it is the fear of subsequent labelling (stigmatization) in the search for a new job. A positive ethical influence is the sharing of social values (hope, recovery, friendship, sharing, etc.), which supports the peer worker. The study could help anchor the role in practice and could be the basis for further research in human resources management, social work and management.

Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services have been youth-focused since their inception. In England, recent National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines and new National Health Service (NHS) Standards for EIP recommend the expansion of the age acceptability criterion from 14-35 to 14-65. In the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough EIP service (CAMEO), we ran a service evaluation to assess the initial impact of this policy change. It aimed to elicit EIP treatment components utilization by patients with first-episode psychosis (FEP) aged over 35, in comparison with those under 35. We found that the over-35s required more contacts from EIP healthcare professionals, especially from care coordinators (coefficient = .239; Robust SE = .102; Z = 6.42; p = 0.019) and social workers (coefficient = 18.462; Robust SE = .692; Z = .016; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that FEP patients aged over 35 may present with more complex and sustained clinical/social needs. This may have implications for EIP service development and commissioning.

The objective of the paper was to investigate the association between PA and general life satisfaction in adolescents, taking into account family affluence and selected psychological, family and school factors. The survey (2015) involved 4085 Polish lower-secondary school students. Life satisfaction was measured with the abridged Students' Life Satisfaction Scale (SLSS). Vigorous Physical Activity, self-esteem, family affluence, family relations and the perception of the school environment were considered as independent variables. Hierarchical and path models were applied. The mean SLSS score was M = 4.66 (SD = 2.23), and 36.9% of its variability was explained-mainly by self-esteem. The impact of PA on self-esteem became stronger when family affluence decreased, which led to the conclusion that material status may modify the impact of behavioural factors on the SLSS scores' variability in adolescence.
