Introduction: A correctly compiled and balanced curriculum across medical fields is an essential prerequisite for medical education. Just as in other fields, it is vividly evident in medicine that the overall structure and lesson content are not ideal and it is quite common for the overlap between theoretical and clinical subjects to be either too extensive or, on the contrary, rather insufficient. The issue of curriculum innovation has been addressed in many medical and health care fields by different academic institutions, as proclaimed in the analysis of the current global situation. The need for a computer-aided management system providing a transparent overview of the curriculum at specific faculties has been duly emphasized. Aim: An original methodology for managing the changes during optimization of the medical curriculum in tertiary education is introduced in the paper, together with its conceptual data model. Methods: According to the conclusions of the Bologna Process, which promotes outcome-based education, the theoretical basis is oriented to the new paradigm of teaching and learning. Results: We introduce the all-in-one web-oriented platform covering all elements linked to global curriculum management and providing sufficient information for the curriculum designers. Conclusion: A new powerful and robust system for the management, visualization and analysis of curriculum should pinpoint specific learning imperfections and potential overlaps across the chosen field of study. It brings useful and beneficial information for students, teachers as well as the faculty management.

Ošetrovateľská prax podlieha rýchlemu rozvoju. Aj do ošetrovateľstva prenikajú nové technológie, materiály, postupy a pomôcky. Ošetrovateľské postupy a techniky sú kontinuálne vedecky overované a modifikované podľa modernizácie prístrojov, pomôcok, materiálov a potrieb pacientov. Vzdelávanie sestier musí „držať krok“ s rozvojom zdravotníctva a nepretržite implementovať nové poznatky vyplývajúce z praxe založenej na dôkazoch do výučby. Vďaka moderným technológiám sa do vzdelávania implementujú nové vyučovacie metódy a používanie moderných didaktických pomôcok a učebníc. Výučba ošetrovateľských postupov a techník umožňuje skĺbiť moderné technológie s nácvikom ošetrovateľských zručností. Nejde len o získanie zručnosti ako takej a jej manuálne precvičovanie, ale aj o pochopenie významu výkonov, a to v súvislostiach s ich indikáciou alebo kontraindikáciou, posúdením a prípravou pacienta, predvídaním potenciálnych komplikácií a ich predchádzaním správne vymedzenými a logickými krokmi. Ideálne je, ak študent nadobúda ošetrovateľské zručnosti v kontexte ošetrovateľského procesu. Je dôležité, aby si vedel konkrétny výkon spojiť s jednotlivými krokmi ošetrovateľského procesu - s posúdením pacienta, aktuálnymi a potenciálnymi ošetrovateľskými diagnózami, s očakávanými výsledkami a záznamom do dokumentácie.
Nursing practice tends to rapid development. New technologies, materials, procedures, and tools are also introduced into nursing. Nursing procedures and techniques are continuously scientifically verified and modified according to the modernisation of patients ́ devices, tools, materials and needs. Nursing education should keep pace with the development of health care and continually implement new knowledge from practice based on evidence based practice. Thanks to modern technologies, new teaching methods, modern didactic aids and textbooks are being implemented in education. Teaching the course Nursing Procedures and Techniques allows students to unite advanced technologies with the practice of nursing skills. However, it is not purely about the acquisition of skills, is also about the understanding the importance of performance in terms of indication or contraindication of performance, by patient assessment and preparation, of anticipating possible complications and their prevention by properly defined reasonable steps. It is optimal for the students to be taught nursing skills in the context of nursing process. It is important for them to be able to associate the specific performance with the patient ́s assessment, current and potential nursing diagnoses, and take down the expected outcomes in patient reports. Each performance has logical sequence of steps. If students understand that steps must follow in a certain order, and the methodology of each performance is not accidental but scientifically valid and justifiable, we assume that they understand the performance they learned and they will apply it in their nursing practice. The need for planning and critical thinking in the realisation of nursing performance enables the implementation of e-learning also in the teaching of this subject. The advantage of elearning education is the availability of learning material, simple search by means of keywords and dictionary, learning in contexts, training critical thinking based on logical tasks and immediate feedback.

Foreign language learning has recently been transferred into an online or hybrid mode and this has brought many challenges for both the teachers and the students. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore students' subjective satisfaction with the use of digital media in their L2 acquisition conducted online, as well as to provide specific recommendations for meeting students' needs in digital media L2 instruction. This is large-scale comparative research conducted in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Iraq, and Malaysia. The data were collected through an online questionnaire in May, June, and July 2021 in the given countries. The findings reveal that students' subjective satisfaction that is related to students' attitudes toward the online learning process, the general usefulness of language, the role of the teacher, and the matters that affect the general process of teaching and learning all gained the positive answers. Whereas the items that are related to students' subjective satisfaction toward language skills, digital-based reading, the effectiveness of online education over face-to-face, and communicating with teachers and peers via social media are all gained negative results. These results need further analysis but they can be an impetus for much larger research and further implications to optimize L2 acquisition.
