Článek se zabývá krátkodobvmi zkušenostmi našeho pracoviště se superelastickými nikltitanovými oblouky Sentalloy a termoelastickými nikltitanovými oblouky Neo-Sentalloy. Podává popis materiálu, základy klinické manipulace s těmito oblouky a ukázky jejich použití. Diskuse se zabývá otázkami indikace ortodontických oblouků ze slitin s tvarovou pamětí.

The authors shortterrn experience with superelastic nickel-titanium archwires Sentalloy and thermoelastic archwires Neo-Sentalloy is presented. The specific features of these materials and the basic rules of clinical use is presented. The questions related to the indications of orthodontic archwires with shape memory effect are discussed.
