The aim of the research study was to compare the prestige of a nursing teacher among nurses, patients and students. The theoretical part was dealing with the place of teachers in society in the past and today, with the teachers' personality, professionalism, and education of the teachers. The research part was focused at the personality of the nursing teacher, her character traits, behavior, grooming and social position compared to other healthcare professionals. 150 respondents participated in the study.
As nursing is more and more challenging, so are the requirements for the professional preparation. Students cannot be just passive receivers of the information, the have to be involved in the process and creative during the study in higher education programs.
