EPOC byla randomizovaná, otevřená studie IV. fáze srovnávající ukazatele kvality života u pacientů s relabující roztroušenou sklerózou, kteří přešli z injekčního podávání léčiv ovlivňujících průběh onemocnění na léčbu fingolimodem. Tato studie prokázala signifikantně lepší výsledky v celé řadě ukazatelů referovaných lékařem i pacientem včetně celkové spokojenosti s léčbou.

EPOC was an open, randomized, phase IV clinical trial comparing the quality of life endpoints concerning patients suffering from relapsing multiple sclerosis who were switched from disease modifying injectables to fingolimod with those concerning patients who continued the former treatment. This study has shown that many parameters assessed by both physicians and patients, including the overall satisfaction with therapy, were better in patients using fingolimod.
