Automutilácie v prostredí väzenstva tvoria špecifickú skupinu aktivít, ktoré možno chápať ako príznak, symptóm psychického ocho renia alebo ako samostatnú poruchu impulzov. V klinickom obraze jednotlivých psychických porúch majú automutilačné tendencie rôznu genézu, formu prevedenia ako aj dôsledky. Bližšie opísanie špecifických podmienok väzenského prostredia dotvára komplexný pohľa d na problematiku príčin automutilácií uväznených osôb a zároveň ponúka vysvetlenie vyššej frekvencie výskytu a recidív automutil ácií v porovnaní s civilnými psychiatrickými zariadeniami. Identifikovanie príčin automutilácií môže tiež napomôcť včas zachytiť pre auto- mutilačné riziko, a tak minimalizovať narušenie telesnej integrity.
Self-mutilation in prison represent a specific group activities, which can be seen as a symptom of mental illness or as a separ ate group of impulsive disorder. In the clinical picture of psychiatric disorders, self-mutilation have different pathogenesis, as well a s the form and implications. Further describe specific conditions in the prison environment completes the comprehensive view of the self-mutil ation by imprisoned persons and also offers an explanation of the higher frequency of occurrence and recidivism of self-mutilation in com- pared with civil psychiatric facilities. Implentation of court-ordered drug tratment in conditions of imprisonment is characterized by a high degree of involuntariness and patient's low motivation towards its realization. The work with patient's s motivation therefore becomes crucial point of the therapeutic action and intervention in the treatment process. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is one of the most effective approaches in the tratment of drug addiction. It offers several options of how to work and what to take into account in the patient's motivation process within the court-ordered treatment.
