Partnerships, intimacy and sexuality are an integral part of everybody's life. The same applies to persons with any type of impairment. For them, fulfilment in the area of partnerships, intimacy and sexuality is a significant factor and indicator of one's value, quality of life and life satisfaction. The paper focuses on sexuality in persons with intellectual disability who live in social care establishments. In these types of establishments, these individuals are often part of a community governed by internal rules and Standards. As a result, these establishments can create a specific environment in order to fulfil relational and sexual needs of their clients. The research involved individuals with intellectual disability and employees of homes for people with disabilities (HPDs). The main objective of the research is to find out how sexuality and its manifestations are perceived by the employees and clients of selected homes for people with disabilities. One of the partial objectives was to find out whether HPDs perform sexuality education, whether they use any professional resources and whether they provide continuing education and development in the area of sexuality both for employees and clients. The authors also analysed the knowledge and experience of clients in the area of sexuality, their perspectives of parenthood, privacy, sexuality education as well as partnerships and their establishment. Another aim was to investigate how the perception of se xuality had developed throughout the existence of the establishments. This information was acquired by means of semi-structured interviews and their subsequent analysis. The administration of the interviews was both personal and electronic in three homes for people with disabilities. The research, the results of which are presented in the text below, has brought new information about how specific homes address their clients' sexuality, which resources they use and what experience and knowledge their clients have in the area of sexuality. It turned out that it would be desirable to perform a similar research study across the whole network of homes for people with disabilities in order to find out information that would help resolve further questions concerning partnerships, ntimacy, sexuality as well as sexuality education of persons with intellectual disability in social care establishments.
A to především u žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením, kterým v posledních letech ubyla výuka praktických předmětů.
The article presents selected results of research that was devoted to the sexuality and sex education of pupils with intellectual disabilities. The aim of the research was to ascertain the knowledge and experience of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in the field of sexuality and to what extent sex education is included in school teaching. The main research method was semi-structured interviews with teachers and pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. An additional method used was a structured questionnaire. The results of the research point to a significant imbalance and shortcomings in the knowledge of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in the fi eld of sexuality, and at the same time to their inter est in dealing with the area more. The research showed that the pupils paid relatively little attention to the topics of sex education at school and the information they obtained is insuffi cient. Educators and students alike say that more attention should be paid at school to sex education and that sex- uality issues should be included in teaching more often, especially for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities who have lost the teaching of practical subjects in recent years. Within these subjects, there used to be enough space for solving similar topics such as sex education. Th e situation is dif- ferent at a special primary school, where all the staff members agreed that the topics related to sex education are adequately represented in pupils with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities and there is enough time and space for them. Th e aim of the article is to contribute to the mosaic of knowledge of the area and to point out that relationships and sexual needs are part of everyone's life. Sex education is therefore an important component of preparation for future life, even for pupils with intellectual disabilities.
The purpose of the paper is to present the selected results of a research study aimed at sexuality education of pupils with intellectual disability (ID). The main objective of the research was to examine the perspective of teachers and pupils with intellectual disability concerning sexuality education in a school setting. Another aim was to identify the degree to which sexuality education is implemented in classes and whether teachers and pupils consider such implementation sufficient. The opinions and practical experience of teachers and pupils were investigated by means of semi-structured individual interviews. The results of the research suggest that from the perspective of both teachers and pupils the implementation of school-based sexuality education is insufficient. Pupils report that sexuality education was little discussed and that the information they received was insufficient. Therefore, sexuality education should be more supported in schools and should be more frequently implemented in classes. This is especially important in the case of pupils with mild ID who have had fewer practical subjects in the past years. These subjects used to provide sufficient space for topics such as sexuality education. The research revealed several ideas and suggestions for improvement. They mostly relate to high-quality school equipment including visual aids as well as spatial arrangement. Greater attention should also be paid to further training of teachers and their methodological guidance in this area.
Inclusive education is currently (2016) one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (hereinafter referred to as MŠMT). Consequently, we were interested in the views of teachers on inclusive education and related legislative changes. We carried out a questionnaire survey with the main objective to ascertain the teachers' views on the amendment to the Education Act (Act No. 82/2015 Coll., amending the Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on pre-school, primary, secondary, higher professional and other education /Education Act/ as amended, and certain other legislation) and the current Regulation (Regulation No. 27/2016 Coll., on educating pupils with special education needs and gifted pupils). We approached 3746 mainstream schools in total, of which 485 participated. The survey results show that to a certain degree teachers have negative attitude to the legislative changes in the education of pupils with mild intellectual disability and specific difference of opinion with the amendment to the Education Act and the associated Regulation. However, their views differ on different legislative points. The vast majority of teaching staff highlights the concern of educating pupils with mild intellectual disability jointly with mainstream pupils and seem to think that if so, pupils with mild intellectual disabilities should be taught some subjects outside the class collective. The survey results raise many concerns and problem areas requiring further attention.

The quality of life of families caring for a disabled individual is a highly topical issue, which deserves due attention. In order to provide these families with quality special education care and support, first it is desirable to identify their needs in a comprehensive manner. Firstly, the paper defines the theoretical background and terminology of the issue. Then the paper presents the results of a research study, whose objective was to identify the subjective attitudes of the parents of a disabled child to selected aspects of the quality of their life. Th e research was carried out by means of the questionnaire method. The research involved 37 families of children with disability. The results of the research points out that a family caring for a child with disability is burdened both financially and physically, which influences the quality of life of all its members. The answers of the respondents also indicate a degree of dissatisfaction with the help of the state provided to families with a disabled child. Whether it be material support or a greater understanding on the part of the state and state institutions. The results also imply that caring for a child with disability has an effect on the partnership of the parents and their leisure time, it also brings intense feelings of fatigue. The research also indicates that a crucial role is played whether a family caring for a child with disability is assisted by another person or institution, who take over some responsibilities. The paper emphasises several areas that should be addressed with due attention in the future, and outlines possible solutions. The final part of the paper summarizes and compares the results of the present research with the results of other professionals. This issue is addressed by professionals both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

The paper deals with the presentation of partial results of the research which was conducted in order to evaluate the life satisfaction of people with mental disabilities who live in selected sheltered houses in Olomouc and Zlín regions. Further, the research is concerned with diff erent strategies leading to stress management among workers in this platform. Quality of life is a multidimensional concept that has gained considerable attention in recent years. It is used primarily to evaluate personal satisfaction, as a quality indicator of service and success. It has a major impact on the mental development of the individual and his mental well-being. Variable aspects are not only time but also the experience that an individual acquires throughout life. In this process, the staff accompanying them to the path of independence plays indispensable part. Th e higher demands are placed on the staff that are therefore more vulnerable to stress and situations that produce this defensive reaction of the organism. Partial results of the research were obtained with the support of the student grant IGA_PdF_2015_003 Perception of the subjective impact of disability / presence of chronic illness and the concept of health awareness and literacy at Palacky University in Olomouc.Th e questionnaire of life satisfaction in the Czech translation by Rodný, Rodná (2011) was administered to 50 subjects in order to establish the life satisfaction in various areas: health, labor and employment, fi nancial situation, leisure, person itself, social relationships, and housing. The results were compared with 50 subjects from Zlin and Moravian- -Silesian region, where the Quality of Life Questionnaire by Shalock, Keith (1993), the Czech version mediated by Quip, was administered. Th is issue is closely connected with partial results of multidimensional self-observational inventory that captures individual tendency to use diff erent ways of responding to stress in stressful situations. Construct applied in 32 subjects from Olomouc and Zlin region was a standardized questionnaire Stress Management Strategies SVF 78 by Janke, Erdmann in Czech translation by Švancara (2003). Partial results of the research were presented at the international (Slovak Republic) and domestic conferences (Olomouc, Hradec Králové) and complete results will be presented in an upcoming publication.
