Príspevok prináša náhľad na problematiku patologickej religiozity a jej vplyvu na bio-psycho-sociálnu pohodu jedinca. Sú v ňom charakterizované obecné znaky jednotlivých siekt a proces psychickej manipulácie s jedincom, ktorý prijal ich učenie. Rovnako sú v ňom uvedené životné zmeny, ktorými jedinec po vstupe do sekty prechádza ako aj to, aký vplyv majú na jeho psychické a fyzické zdravie. V závere sú uvedené možnosti pomoci obetiam siekt.
This contribution brings insight on pathological religiosity and its impact on bio-psycho-social well being of the individual. Therein are characterized general features of cults and process of their psychological manipulation of the individuals which accept their teaching. Also there is mentioned life transformation which the individual experience after joining the cult and how that affect his mental and physical health. The options of assistance to victims of cults are listed in the conclusion.
