This pilot study focused on analyzing the impact of regular participation in Snoezelen sessions on the responses of the tested subjects. Ten subjects were divided into experimental and control groups, with repeated stays of children in the multisensory Snoezelen room being monitored. The results suggest that this practice can positively influence changes in participants’ responses. Five sensory areas stimulated in the multisensory Snoezelen room were considered during the experiment. The evaluation focused on the overall change in reactions to objects used during Snoezelen sessions. Since Snoezelen emphasizes the experience and development of the individual as a whole, the assessment was not limited to individual senses but reflected the individual responses of each participant. The research provides new insights into the potential benefits of regular participation in Snoezelen sessions, highlighting the multidimensional nature of this therapy. These findings can serve as a basis for further studies and optimization of the use of multisensory rooms for the benefit of individuals with various needs with recommendations for pedagogical practice

Článek pojednává o problematice inkluzivního vzdělávání z pohledu filosofického a etického, avšak se zacílením na filosofi i výchovy. Stěžejním motivem textu je odpovědět na otáz- ky proč, jak a jestli přijímat jinakost ve společnosti a ve vzdělávacím procesu. Na tyto otázky není jednoduché odpovědět ani z pohledu fi losofi ckých principů, ani z pohledu těch vzdělávacích. Text je jistým odborným zamyšlením nad problematikou inkluze ve vzdělávání jak z pohledu současných speciálních pedagogů, tak z pohledu J. A. Komenského či E. Lévinase, kteří ve svých pracích akcentují problematiku jinakosti, v našem případě problematiku lidí s postižením.

The article presents inclusive education from the philosophical and ethical points of view and, more widely, from that of educational philosophy. The main idea is to answer three questions about diversity in society and in education: why, how, and whether to accept people with disabilities. Th ese questions are not easy to answer on the basis of either philosophical or pedagogical principles. Th e article is scholarly refl ection on the issue of inclusive education from the view of Czech special educators and also Jan Amos Komenský and Emmanuel Lévinas. All of these accent the topic of diversity and society in their works.
