Poruchy nálady, zejména deprese, jsou dnes jednou z nejčastějších psychických poruch. Přestože je na trhu řada antidepresiv s různým mechanizmem účinku, v případě lehčích depresí lze použít i bylinné přípravky. Článek popisuje vybrané rostliny, u kterých byl zjištěn antidepresivní účinek – Hypericum perforatum, Sceletium tortuosum, Panax ginseng, Rhodiola rosea, Magnolia a Crocus sativus. Některé z nich se již v terapii používají a u jiných je možné další využití v budoucnosti. Některé rostliny jsou na trhu ve formě doplňků stravy.
Natural antidepressants Mood disorders, mainly depression, are nowadays one of the most frequent mental illnesses. Although there are many antidepressants with different mechanism of action on the market, in cases of mild depression herbal remedies can be used. The article describes selected plants with antidepressant effect – Hypericum perforatum, Sceletium tortuosum, Panax ginseng, Rhodiola rosea, Magnolia and Crocus sativus. Some of them are already used in the therapy, others may be used in the future. Some plants are available for sale as dietary supplements. Magnolia, Crocus sativus.
