Addenbrookský kognitivní test je neuropsychologickou baterií určenou pro záchyt jedinců s podezřením na syndrom demence. Mezi ostatními skríninkovými metodami má významné postavení zejména z důvodu možnosti rychlého získání řady informací jak o celkovém kognitivním stavu pacienta, tak i o základních kognitivních doménách (pozornost a orientace, paměť, slovní produkce, jazyk, zrakově-prostorové schopnosti). Addenbrookský kognitivní test v sobě zahrnuje celou metodu Mini-Mental State Examination a nové položky, které zvyšují senzitivitu testu k záchytu časných stádií demence. Časové požadavky na administraci i vyhodnocení umožňují test používat i nepsychology v odborné medicínské praxi.
Addenbrook‘s Cognitive Examination is a neuropsychological battery designed to capture individuals with suspected dementia syn- drome. It has important place among other screening methods as it quickly assesses various number of information about general cognitive state of a patient. It also screens basic cognitive domains that are essential to consider for diagnosis of any dementi a (e.g. attention and orientation, memory, verbal fluency, language, and visually-spatial abilities). The Addenbrook‘s Cognitive Examination integrates Mini-Mental State Examination with new items to be more sensitive to detect early dementia. Time requirements for administration and evaluation allow this test to be used even by non-psychologists at medical practices.

Revidovaná verze Addenbrookského kognitivního testu (ACE -R) je komplexní skríningová neuropsychologická metoda určená pro diagnostiku syndromu demence. Test ACE -R integruje Mini-Mental State (MMSE ) a nové položky, které jsou citlivější k záchytu mírné kognitivní poruchy a jež pomáhají diferencovat podtypy demence lépe než MMSE samotné. Autoři tří odborností popisují novelizovanou verzi ACE -CZ dostupnou na www.pcp.lf3.cuni.cz/adcentrum a odvozenou z české adaptace z roku 2009. Její vznik byl motivován snahou o dosažení lepší shody s původní anglickou verzí a českou verzí MMSE ve srovnání s předešlou adaptací testu. Článek přináší informace pro osoby, které již s testem ACE mají zkušenosti, ale může být inspirací i pro další potenciální uživatele.
The revised version of Addenbrooke's cognitive examination (ACE-R) is a screening test for dementia. The ACE-R integrates the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) with new items in order to improve sensitivity to mild cognitive impairment and help differentiate more dementia subtypes than MMSE alone. The authors describe an amendment to the test known as ACE-CZ, available at www.pcp.lf3.cuni.cz/adcentrum, derived from a C zech adaptation made in 2009. The new version was designed to achieve better agreement with the original English version and the Czech version of MMSE, as compared with the previous Czech version of the test.
