Autoři prezentují kazuistiku pacienta s granulomatózní prostatitidou, která byla indukována předchozí léčbou intravezikální aplikací BCG v rámci komplexní léčby povrchového karcinomu močového měchýře. Granulomatózní prostatitida je jednou z možných, málo častých komplikací aplikace BCG. Jejími projevy je i zvýšení PSA a nález uzlů při vyšetření prostaty per rektum, což v rámci diferenciální diagnostiky může činit obtíže při odlišení od karcinomu prostaty.
The authors present a case report of a patient with granulomatous prostatitis that was induced by a previous treatment with intravesical administration of BCG as part of comprehensive management for superficial bladder cancer. Granulomatous prostatitis is one of the possible, uncommon complications of BCG administration. Its manifestations include an elevated PSA level and a finding of nodules on digital rectal examination of the prostate, which may pose a differential diagnostic problem in distinguishing it from prostate cancer.

Podrobněji se věnuje klinickým projevům a pozdním následkům těchto infekcí i recentním doporučením týkajícím se jejich diagnostiky a léčby.
Our article brings a comprehensive view at specific issues concerning urogenital chlamydial infections. We can find here basic information touching taxonomy, morphology and reproduction of chlamydias. It describes in detail their clinical manifestations and late consequences as well as recent recommendations regarding their diagnostics and treatment.
