Cieľom práce je poukázať na zriedkavú komplikáciu liečby chronickej vírusovej hepatitídy C (CHC) - pľúcnu sarkoidózu, ktorá sa môže vyvinúť počas, ale aj po ukončení liečby interferónom (IFN). Táto komplikácia môže byť exacerbáciou preexistujúceho autoimunitného ochorenia asociovaného s CHC, ale môže ísť aj o novovzniknuté ochorenie v príčinnej súvislosti s podávaním uvedeného lieku. Ide o prvú takúto komplikáciu, ktorú sme pozorovali v súbore 190 našich pacientov liečených pre dokázanú chronickú vírusovú hepatitídu.
