In the Czech Republic there is no research dedicated to children's dreams. It is, however, a very interesting area, as well as dreams of adults. Our study is focused on dreams of primary school children. We use the method of semi-structured interview aimed at dream recall of primary school children. Surveyed sample consists of 35 children between six and eight years of age from an elementary school in the Czech Republic. To process the data we use the coding system of the dream content analysis developed by psychologists Calvin S. Hall and Robert Van de Castle. Particular attention is paid to formal properties of dreams such as types of characters, social interactions, activities and emotions. Other research topics are children's ability of dream recall and subjective frequency of their dreams. We are interested in children’s attitudes to their dreams and connections of their contents to experiences from previous day, children's hobbies, common activities or their problems. The results of our research will be compared with similar investigations from foreign countries. The media's influence on children's dreams is also discussed.

In her contribution, the author presents results of the contents analysis of basic curricular documents of the study programme “Nursing” concerning hygiene of hands. The contents analysis forms a considerably specific field of the qualitative approach. In Information Sheets of Subjects (ISS) for students of the first, second, third and fourth years, within the framework of quantifying procedures of the contents analysis, a zero dichotomy, frequency of sensual units (“hand hygiene”, “technique of washing/disinfection of hands”) was found and the occurrence of 32 analytical units was observed within all the years of study in terms of contingence only. The research demonstrated a fact that the problem of the hand hygiene is not included into the scope of the Information Sheets of Subjects and is not clearly specified as a standard procedure, mainly in crucial subjects and subsequently in further subjects of the study programme for the branch Nursing of the JLF UK in Martin, which can negatively affect the level of knowledge, skill and habits of students in terms of hand hygiene. The observed drawbacks in curricular documents of the Information Sheets of Subjects can be considered as one of conditioning factors of the inferior knowledge concerning these problems. In different countries and hospitals, standards were developed determining the hygiene of hands of the personnel and, in spite of this, the compliance with directives is very low. One of interventions aimed at improving the compliance with the hygiene of hands is effective continuous teaching of health professionals and successful education (with clearly specified contents). The education should be aimed at changes of attitudes to and performance of hygiene of hands in the nursing practice, which is a challenge for educational institutions.
Nejčastěji uváděná témata zahrnovala otázky hygieny a péče o tělo (především u mladších ročníků), sexuální rizikové chování (u starších ročníků) a biologické rozdíly mezi pohlavími (napříč všemi ročníky).
The present study aims to analyse the content of minimal prevention programmes at Czech elementary schools, focusing on the topics of sexuality education. A combination of quantitative content analysis and qualitative document analysis was used in the investigation of 50 documents, whose length ranged from 4 to 99 pages. The analysis of topics, content, methods of delivery and evaluation was complicated by non-uniform terminology and structure of the documents as well as their frequent ambiguity and non-specific, general scope. Most commonly included topics covered the areas of personal hygiene and body care (mostly among younger pupils), sexual risk behaviour (mostly among older pupils), and biological sex differences (pupils of all ages). Forty-five of the documents did not include the topics of sex and media, 39 lacked information about where and how to get help. In 36 cases, the schools are not covering the topics of child abuse and neglect, nor the development of healthy self-esteem in their pupils. The most common methods of delivery were reading (n = 38) and lecture (n = 29). The documents were usually created by the school methodology specialists of primary prevention (n = 26) or other members of pedagogical staff. In total, 41 schools claimed that they evaluate their prevention programmes, usually in some form of oral or written feedback (mostly non-specified). However, most of them did not mention any poosibilities of school-parent cooperation, or it was not specified for the topics of sexuality education. The analysed minimal prevention programmes are too general in the topics of sexuality education. They do not distinguish between specific and non-specific prevention, and vary across schools. While the documents comply with formal criteria, they are not suitable for the delivery of comprehensive and effective prevention in sexuality education at elementary schools.

This study explores the skinhead subculture in the Czech Republic, as reflected in the media and in the political, pedagogical, sociological, psychological, and security fields. It presents skinhead subculture on the basis of the Reports on Extremism in the Czech Republic that have been published by the Ministry of the Interior since 1997. It also describes the mechanism by which these reports are formulated and prepared, along with their history and ratification by the government. The main objective of the study is to identify security issues associated with the skinhead subculture in the Czech Republic, and the way it has been evaluated by the Ministry of the Interior in the Ministry’s internal documents. On the basis of the content analysis, basic security topics are identified that have been associated with this highly publicized subculture since the 1990s. The research question is: What security issues are associated with the skinhead subculture in the Reports on Extremism in the Czech Republic? The answer is provided via content analysis which is both quantitative and qualitative, and which covers the period from 1997 to 2013.
