Autorky popisují způsob úhrad zdravotní péče v České republice. Pozornost je věnována systému veřejného zdravotního pojištění a jeho základním principům. Podrobněji jsou pak charakterizovány regulační poplatky, které byly v České republice zavedeny od 1. 1. 2008. Je zdůrazněna nejen jejich ekonomická funkce, ale také další aspekty reformních kroků, zejména ochranný limit, jehož zavedením je zajištěna dostupnost péče i pro chronicky nemocné a sociálně slabé pacienty. Autorky sledují vývoj částek zaplacených za regulační poplatky pojištěnci všech zdravotních pojišťoven v ČR za období let 2008 až 2012 i vývoj částek, o něž byl ochranný limit za uvedená období překročen. Je provedeno srovnání výše spoluúčasti pacientů ve vybraných zemích Evropské unie, kde je systém spoluúčasti nastaven řadu let spolu s ochrannými mechanismy tak, aby zdravotní péče byla pacientům v případě potřeby dostupná.
The authors describe the method of payment for health care in the Czech Republic. Special attention is paid to the public health insurance system and its basic principles. The regulatory fees, which were introduced in the Czech Republic on 01/01/2008 are described in detail. Not only their economic function has been emphasized, but also other aspects of the reform, especially the protective limit, whose introduction ensures the availability of care for the chronically ill and socially disadvantaged patients. The authors follow the evolution of the price of all regulatory fees paid by all of the insured individuals of health insurance companies in the Czech Republic for the period 2008–2012 and the development of the amounts by which the protective limit was exceeded. A comparison of patients’ participation was carried out in selected European Union countries, where the system has been in place for many years, together with other protective mechanisms in order to provide health care for patients in need.

Článek popisuje zkušenosti získané expertní činností konzultačního charakteru v lůžkových zdravotnických zařízeních akutní lůžkové péče. V rámci těchto činností byl posuzován obsah zdravotnické dokumentace s ohledem na správné vykazování poskytnuté péče a soulad obsahu zdravotnické dokumentace s obsahem péče vykázané zdravotním pojišťovnám.
The paper describes experience gained by expertize and consultations in inpatient health facilities of acute health care. The content of health documentation was assessed regarding the correct reporting of provided care and the concordance of the content of health documentation with the care reported to health insurance companies.
