Cíle: Internetovým dotazníkem jsme zjišťovali subjektivní hodnocení paměti u seniorů, předchozí zkušenost s elektronickou formou kognitivního tréninku, zájem o trénování paměti pomocí elektronických zařízení a preferovaný způsob tréninku. Naprostá většina respondentů (90 %) by chtěla trénovat z domova.
Aim: An online questionnaire study was used to examine subjective memory evaluation of elderly persons, previous experience with computerized cognitive training, interest in memory training using electronic devices and the preferred training technique. Methods:An online questionnaire containing 40 questions divided into 6 areas of interest was created. Using this questionnaire, we surveyed the approach of the seniors to memory training through electronic devices. Results: The questionnaire was completed by 511 re-spondents (average age 67 ± 7 years, average education 16 ± 4 years, 72 % of women). Most of the respondents (64 %) stated occurence of some memory problems. More than half of the respondents (59 %) did not previously use electronic devices to train memory. However, 76 % of the participants are interested in cognitive training using electronic devices. A great deal of respondents (67 %) prefered to train memory on a computer in contrast to tablets and smartphones. This is in line with the finding that 61 % of respondents use the computer on a daily basis. The vast majority of respondents (90 %) would like to train from home. Conclusion: The results of the study show that elderly persons are interested in remote computerized memory training in their home environment. The limited offer of Czech remote computerized training programms suggests increased demand for development of such training programs ratgeted specifically on elderly population.

V tomto sdělení tuto technologii popíšeme podrobněji a ukážeme i první aplikace.
Assistive technology refers to technology used by individuals with disabilities in order to perform functions that might otherwise be difficult or impossible. This study examined special education students' exploitation of hearing assistive technology for learning. The study was a descriptive research. Sample comprised of 250 hearing impaired students of Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo. Stratified random sampling technique was used for the selection of sample. Data was analysed using frequency count and a simple percentage to answer the research questions while inferential statistics of t-test, Kruskal Wallis and Jonckheere-Terpstra Test were used to analyse the two hypotheses. The findings of the study revealed that Telephone adaptations, TV decoder, TV amplifier, Computer, Personal amplification, FM Amplification system, Infrared amplification system, Induction loop systems, Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD), Hearing Aid, and Audiometer are mostly available to the respondents. There was no significant diff erence between students' utilization of assistive technologies for learning based on gender and academic level. The study concluded that special education students utilize available assistive technology for learning. This implies that assistive technology for learning could assist the performance of special students. It was therefore recommended that schools should employ Educational Technologists that can facilitate eff ective use of assistive technology tools to supplement classroom teaching.

Objectives: This review aims to evaluate the performance of serious games as a training tool compared to other methods of continued professional development (CPD) and continued medical education (CME) for healthcare professionals. Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Web of Science, World Health Organization (WHO) International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP), PLOS ONE, ClinicalTrials. gov, were searched for available randomized control trials (RCTs) up to June 2018. We used the CASP (Critical Appraisal Skills Programme) tool to evaluate the quality of RCTs. Results: The search identified 1430 papers; among them, 119 were evaluated. Finally 17 RCTs involving 2978 participants were selected in this systematic review. The serious games (SGs) were classified into three broader categories: 1) specifically designed games to enhance training skills and learning gains, 2) game design elements to bolster the sense of competition for knowledge enhancement, 3) commercially available video games for training on medical procedures. Four studies found levels of satisfaction among participants of SGs to be high; none of the studies evaluated the impact of the games on beliefs or behaviors. Overall, the studies provided limited evidence to support a strong connection between the use of serious games and improved performance. Conclusion: SGs can be an effective alternate/ complementary component of healthcare training curriculum. However, existing heterogeneous assessment methodologies are not accurately depicting the effectiveness of games. More robust RCTs/research designs are needed to evaluate the effectiveness of serious games.
PURPOSE: Genetic advances mean patients at risk of genetic conditions can be helped through testing, clinical screening, and preventive treatment, but they must first be identified to benefit. Ensuring quality of genetic care for patients requires genetic expertise in all health services, including primary care. To address an educational shortfall, a series of e-learning resources was developed in six languages to equip primary care professionals with genetic skills relevant for practice. The purpose of the study was to evaluate these resources using Kirkpatrick's framework for educational outcomes. METHODS: Mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) were used over four phases of the study. RESULTS: A high level of satisfaction with the resources was reported. Knowledge and skills improved significantly after using the education material. Participants reported changes in confidence and practice behavior, including family history taking, seeking advice from specialists and referring patients. The resources helped users to learn how to explain genetics. Many visited the resources repeatedly and some used them to educate colleagues or students. CONCLUSION: Gen-Equip modules are effective in improving genetic knowledge, skills, and attitudes for primary care professionals. They provide both continuing professional development and just-in-time learning for a potentially large global audience at a practical level.

Vzdelávanie sestier musí „držať krok“ s rozvojom zdravotníctva a nepretržite implementovať nové poznatky vyplývajúce z praxe založenej na dôkazoch do výučby. Vďaka moderným technológiám sa do vzdelávania implementujú nové vyučovacie metódy a používanie moderných didaktických pomôcok a učebníc. Výučba ošetrovateľských postupov a techník umožňuje skĺbiť moderné technológie s nácvikom ošetrovateľských zručností. Je dôležité, aby si vedel konkrétny výkon spojiť s jednotlivými krokmi ošetrovateľského procesu - s posúdením pacienta, aktuálnymi a potenciálnymi ošetrovateľskými diagnózami, s očakávanými výsledkami a záznamom do dokumentácie.
Nursing practice tends to rapid development. New technologies, materials, procedures, and tools are also introduced into nursing. Nursing procedures and techniques are continuously scientifically verified and modified according to the modernisation of patients ́ devices, tools, materials and needs. Nursing education should keep pace with the development of health care and continually implement new knowledge from practice based on evidence based practice. Thanks to modern technologies, new teaching methods, modern didactic aids and textbooks are being implemented in education. Teaching the course Nursing Procedures and Techniques allows students to unite advanced technologies with the practice of nursing skills. However, it is not purely about the acquisition of skills, is also about the understanding the importance of performance in terms of indication or contraindication of performance, by patient assessment and preparation, of anticipating possible complications and their prevention by properly defined reasonable steps. It is optimal for the students to be taught nursing skills in the context of nursing process. It is important for them to be able to associate the specific performance with the patient ́s assessment, current and potential nursing diagnoses, and take down the expected outcomes in patient reports. Each performance has logical sequence of steps. If students understand that steps must follow in a certain order, and the methodology of each performance is not accidental but scientifically valid and justifiable, we assume that they understand the performance they learned and they will apply it in their nursing practice. The need for planning and critical thinking in the realisation of nursing performance enables the implementation of e-learning also in the teaching of this subject. The advantage of elearning education is the availability of learning material, simple search by means of keywords and dictionary, learning in contexts, training critical thinking based on logical tasks and immediate feedback.
