The purpose of this recommendation of the Oncology Task Force of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology (ESPR) is to indicate reasonable applications of whole-body MRI in children with cancer and to address useful protocols to optimize workflow and diagnostic performance. Whole-body MRI as a radiation-free modality has been increasingly performed over the last two decades, and newer applications, as in screening of children with germ-line mutation cancer-related gene defects, are now widely accepted. We aim to provide a comprehensive outline of the diagnostic value for use in daily practice. Based on the results of our task force session in 2018 and the revision in 2019 during the ESPR meeting, we summarized our group's experiences in whole-body MRI. The lack of large evidence by clinical studies is challenging when focusing on a balanced view regarding the impact of whole-body MRI in pediatric oncology. Therefore, the final version of this recommendation was supported by the members of Oncology Task Force.

BACKGROUND: The incidence of skin cancers has been increasing steadily over the last decades. Although there have been significant breakthroughs in the management of skin cancers with the introduction of novel diagnostic tools and innovative therapies, skin cancer mortality, morbidity and costs heavily burden the society. OBJECTIVE: Members of the European Association of Dermato-Oncology, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, International Dermoscopy Society, European Dermatology Forum, European Board of Dermatovenereology of the European Union of Medical Specialists and EORTC Cutaneous Lymphoma Task Force have joined this effort to emphasize the fundamental role that the specialist in Dermatology-Venereology has in the diagnosis and management of different types of skin cancer. We review the role of dermatologists in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers and cutaneous lymphomas, and discuss approaches to optimize their involvement in effectively addressing the current needs and priorities of dermato-oncology. DISCUSSION: Dermatologists play a crucial role in virtually all aspects of skin cancer management including the implementation of primary and secondary prevention, the formation of standardized pathways of care for patients, the establishment of specialized skin cancer treatment centres, the coordination of an efficient multidisciplinary team and the setting up of specific follow-up plans for patients. CONCLUSION: Skin cancers represent an important health issue for modern societies. The role of dermatologists is central to improving patient care and outcomes. In view of the emerging diagnostic methods and treatments for early and advanced skin cancer, and considering the increasingly diverse skills, knowledge and expertise needed for managing this heterogeneous group of diseases, dermato-oncology should be considered as a specific subspecialty of Dermatology-Venereology.

Prevalencia obezity u detí a adolescentov stúpa.
The prevalence of obesity among children and adolescents is on the rise. The majority of overweight or obese children are treated by primary health care providers including paediatricians, family practitioners, dieticians, nurses, and school health services ‒ and not by specialists. The majority of obese children have no underlying medical disorder causing their obesity yet a significant proportion might suffer from obesity-related co-morbidities. This text is aimed at providing simple and practical tools for the identification and management of children with or at risk of overweight and obesity in the primary care setting. The tips and tools provided are based on data from the recent body of work that has been published in this field, official statements of several scientific societies along with expert opinion provided by the members of the Childhood Obesity Task Force (COTF) of the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO). We have attempted to use an evidence-based approach while allowing flexibility for the practicing clinician in domains where evidence is currently lacking and ensuring that treating the obese child involves the entire family as well.
BACKGROUND: The SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) pandemic affected the delivery of health and social care services globally. However, little is known about how palliative care social work services were impacted. AIM: The aim of this study was to capture and analyse data from palliative care social workers who provided professional support in a range of settings across 21 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. DESIGN: A cross-sectional survey-based design was used for this empirical study and this paper primarily focuses on the quantitative responses. SETTING/PARTICIPANTS: Participants, palliative care social workers, were drawn internationally via members of the EAPC Social Work Task Force and the World Hospice Palliative Care Social Work network. RESULTS: We received 362 survey responses from 21 countries. Most (79%) respondents worked with adults in in-patient units or hospitals. The number of referrals during COVID-19 increased more in non-European countries, compared to European countries. The full range of social work services could no longer be delivered, existing services changed and 65.3% of participants reported higher levels of pressure during the pandemic, which was linked to higher levels of staff absence and additional duties. For many respondents (40.8%), this included facilitating online communication between patients and their families. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings indicate that restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19 resulted in adaptations to service delivery, increased pressure on staff and moral distress, like other health and social care professions. All members of the palliative team need support and supervision to ensure effective interdisciplinary working and team cohesion.

BACKGROUND: The members of the Task Force on Contact Dermatitis and the Task Force on Occupational Dermatoses of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), of the European Dermatology Forum (EDF), and the members of the UEMS Section of Dermatology-Venereology (UEMS-EBDV) we want to vindicate the fundamental role that the specialist in Dermatology has in the diagnosis and management of Immuno-mediated /allergic Diseases. OBJECTIVE: In disagreement with the blueprint paper of the UEMS section of Allergology (2013), in which dermatologists are excluded from one of their core activities it was decided to write this consensus paper. DISCUSSION: The skin occupies a crucial place in the broad spectrum of allergic diseases; there is no other organ with such a multitude of different clinical conditions mediated by so many pathogenetic immune mechanisms. Subsequently, dermatologists play a fundamental role in the management of immune-mediated diseases including among others contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, urticaria and angioedema or cutaneous adverse drug, food and arthropod reactions. The essential role of dermatology in the diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive management of immune mediated /allergic diseases which is crucial for patient management is justified from both the academic and professional point of view. CONCLUSION: Based on the best care of the patient with cutaneous immune allergic disease a multidisciplinary approach is desirable and the dermatologist has a pivotal role in patient management. Be so good and no one will not ignore you, dermatologist. Ideally Dermatology should be governed according the following Henry Ford statement: "Arriving together is the beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success."

OBJECTIVES: To develop consensus-based recommendations for physician's global assessment of disease activity (PhGA) scoring and to standardise definitions of disease activity. METHODS: An international task force of 34 members was assembled, and recommendations were developed in 3 phases: (1) 2 preliminary surveys of paediatric rheumatologists and a literature review; (2) 14 videoconference meetings, informed by multicriteria decision analysis and formal anonymous voting; and (3) a 2-day in-person consensus conference using structured nominal group technique discussions and formal voting. The threshold for achieving consensus was ≥78% of voting task force members. Agreement with the final statements was rated using a numerical rating scale from 0, strongly disagree, to 10, strongly agree. RESULTS: Eighteen points to consider were agreed upon. All statements achieved consensus (≥78%), with a level of agreement ≥9.2. Points included the definition of disease activity in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), factors to assess in nonsystemic JIA and systemic JIA, consideration of available imaging and laboratory tests, the role of extra-articular manifestations, the evaluation of treatment, and the timing of PhGA scoring. CONCLUSIONS: The task force developed consensus-based recommendations when scoring the PhGA in nonsystemic and systemic JIA. These recommendations will lead to more reliable scoring of disease activity in patients with JIA.

The paper presents an analysis of how EFMI disseminates new knowledge and the active medical informatics journals in EFMI member countries was carried out as an outcome of the EFMI Council meeting in London in 2008. The analysis identifies eight active major informatics journals and several other publications. Most are subscription-based and published at least quarterly. There is a possibility for the editors to meet regularly and form a community of practice with the aim of further improving their effectiveness in disseminating new knowledge and best practice in medical informatics. It is feasible to share expertise and it may be possible to harmonise several aspects of preparation and submission of manuscripts so that some of the identified barriers in publishing are reduced.

OBJECTIVES: The task force aimed to: (1) develop evidence-based recommendations for patient education (PE) for people with inflammatory arthritis, (2) identify the need for further research on PE and (3) determine health professionals' educational needs in order to provide evidence-based PE. METHODS: A multidisciplinary task force, representing 10 European countries, formulated a definition for PE and 10 research questions that guided a systematic literature review (SLR). The results from the SLR were discussed and used as a basis for developing the recommendations, a research agenda and an educational agenda. The recommendations were categorised according to level and strength of evidence graded from A (highest) to D (lowest). Task force members rated their agreement with each recommendation from 0 (total disagreement) to 10 (total agreement). RESULTS: Based on the SLR and expert opinions, eight recommendations were developed, four with strength A evidence. The recommendations addressed when and by whom PE should be offered, modes and methods of delivery, theoretical framework, outcomes and evaluation. A high level of agreement was achieved for all recommendations (mean range 9.4-9.8). The task force proposed a research agenda and an educational agenda. CONCLUSIONS: The eight evidence-based and expert opinion-based recommendations for PE for people with inflammatory arthritis are intended to provide a core framework for the delivery of PE and training for health professionals in delivering PE across Europe.
