This study was conducted to determine and compare the effects of reformer pilates (RP) and mat pilates (MP) exercises on soccer players' physical parameters and technical skills. Thirty voluntary participants were randomly assigned to either RP group (n = 10; age = 20.60 ± 1.65), MP group (n = 10; age = 19.40 ± 1.35) and control group (CG) (n = 10; age = 20.10 ± 1.15). Technical and physical performance tests were performed. In the RP group counter movement jump (CMJ), standing broad jump (SBJ), single leg triple hop right-left, balance right-left leg, flexibility, 10-20m sprint, german agility (GA), speed dribbling (SPD), loughborough soccer passing (LSPT), lobbed passing right food, lobbed passing total measurement results showed a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test mean values (p < 0.05). In the MP group, balance right-left leg, single leg triple hop right-left, 5 - 10m sprint, GA, SPD, LBP, lobbed passing right measurement results showed a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test mean values (p < 0.05). The control group had no significant difference in the pre-test and post-test mean values of technical and physical performance measurements (p > 0.05). Between-group comparisons revealed superior improvements in GA, LSPT, and single-leg triple hop right-left in the RP group compared to the MP group. Based on these findings, coaches and sports performance specialists may enhance athletes' physical performance and technical skills by incorporating Pilates exercises (particularly RP) into training programs.

Comparative study between intact and ID (Intellectually disabled) were carried out in many areas (psychic, somatic characteristics, the motor skills of individuals with the ID, comparison of the level of intellect and motor performance. The study compares the performance of intellectually disabled athletes swimmers with the majority population. For comparison we have used the existing world records led by the international swimming federation FINA, and Inas, (International Federation for sport for para-athletes with an intellectual disability). For comparison of the best Czech records with world records we were used CSMPS (Czech Sports Association for mentally handicapped athletes). If we compare world records of FINA and world records of Inas in men, we can see intellectually disabled swimmers performance generally lower by about 20-25%. The performance of intellectually disabled swimmers women are Inas values generally lower by 19.1 to 26.5% than the records by FINA, that situation is almost similar to that of men. Comparison of world-class performance of intellectually disabled men athletes with similar disabled in the Czech Republic shows the difference in the amount of 11 to 29,3%. Comparison of world-class performance of intellectually disabled women swimmers of similar people in the Czech Republic shows the difference in the amount of 10,9 to 28,8%.

Background: Visual occlusion reduces players' field of vision and directly affects their physical, technical and positional performance. Therefore, it is important to understand how visual perception is affected, and whether training with visual occlusion leads to an improvement in performance. Objective: This study aimed to examine whether training with visual occlusion could improve technical skills in young football players. Methods: Thirty male Under-14 amateur football players were randomly assigned to a visual occlusion group (OCC; n = 15) and a control group (CON; n = 15). In addition to the conventional training program, the OCC performed visual occlusion training sessions using spatial occlusion goggles that removed the sight of the participants' limbs and lower body. The CON performed only the conventional training program. The study consisted of a pre-test, two months of training intervention and a post-test. Contextualised technical skills were tested using the Loughborough Soccer Passing Test. Results: Both OCC (p = .21) and CON (p = .43) did not change Trial performance. However, the OCC experienced small-to-moderate improvements in Penalty time (p = .002; d = 0.51, 95% CI [0.10, 0.70]) and Global performance (p = .005, d = 0.44, 95% CI [0.05, 0.66]). The CON did not show changes in Penalty time (p = .61) and Global performance (p = .89) variables. A significant moment × group interaction was found in Penalty time (p = .016, ηp2 = .19, 95% CI [.03, .48]) and Global performance (p = .011, ηp2 = .21, 95% CI [.01, .45]). Conclusions: The OCC has shown a significant reduction in the amount of time required to complete the trial and the Penalty time. These results suggest that incorporating visual occlusion as a paradigm into a training program for football players may positively impact their technical skills.
Studie zkoumá vztah specifické self-efficacy (SE), pracovní spokojenosti (PS) a výkonu.
Problem: The current study focused on the relationships between task-specific self-efficacy, satisfaction with the task and task performance. It tested the hypothesis that the satisfaction mediates the influence of self-efficacy on performance. It built upon Bandura‘s conception of self-efficacy (1994) and studies that confirmed the individual relationships between satisfaction and performance (e.g. Riketta, 2008), between self-efficacy and satisfaction (e.g. Judge, Locke, & Durham, cited by Smith, Choi, Fuqua, & Newman, 2011) and between self-efficacy and performance (e.g. Stajkovic & Luthans, 1998). Method: The research sample consisted of 96 Czech and Slovak university students of natural science (46,9 % women) in ages ranging between 19 and 26 years (M = 21,1; SD = 1,86). The task-specific self-efficacy was measured using an adapted version of the General selfefficacy scale (Křivohlavý, Schwarzer, & Jerusalem, 1993) after the task was described to the respondents. The scale was adjusted to measure the task-specific construct. Internal consistency of the adjusted scale was measured using Cronbach’s alpha and was satisfactory (α = .70). Satisfaction was measured using the adjusted Stone’s (1977) Satisfaction scale after the task was described and respondents completed a training task designed to allow them to judge their task satisfaction. Cronbach’s alpha was used again to measure the internal consistency of the satisfaction scale (α = .88). Finally, respondents completed the actual task, during which they were instructed to write words starting with four prescribed syllables. Their task performance was operationalized as the number of words written within a time limit. Results: The results showed a weak positive significant relationship between self-efficacy and satisfaction (r = .26*), satisfaction and performance (r = .23*) and self-efficacy and performance (r = .23*). The hypothesis that satisfaction is the mediator of the relationship between task-specific self-efficacy and performance was tested by the κ2 indicator of effect size (Preacher & Kelly, 2011) and by a bootstrap test of indirect effect (Hayes, 2012). According to the κ2 indicator, there was a weak mediation effect (κ2 = .05, 95%LLCI ˃ .00, 95% ULCI = .16) and the indicator was significantly larger than 0. However, the bootstrap analysis did not reveal a significant indirect effect (B = .17, SE = .16, 95%LLCI = -.04, 95%ULCI = .61). Discussion and conclusion: The study contributes to the integration of attitudinal and personality theories that explain work performance. It helps to understand the nature of the relationship between self-efficacy and performance. The use of a single standardized task is both the strength and limit of the study. It served to reduce the impact of external variables, yet it also led to a reduction of the ecological validity of the research.
