Autoři upozorňují na zvláštnosti komunikace s pacientem-dítětem, připomínají nevhodné postupy zdravotníků, situace, které u dítěte vyvolávají stres. Zdůrazňují výtvorení vztahu důvěry, volby vhodného jazyka, přípravu dítěte na neprijemné či bolestivé výkony, hovoří o funkci speciálního pracovníka - herního terapeuta.
The authors draw attention to the special features of communication with the child patient, they remind of unsuitable procedures on the part of health professionals, of situations which cause stress in the child. They emphasize the importance of confidence, selection of suitable language, preparation of the child for unpleasant or painful procedures, they speak of thei function of a special person - the play therapist.
