Stručně jsou předneseny možnosti klinické aplikace xenon kontrastní výpočetní tomografie se zaměřením na cerebrovaskulámí onemocnění, mozkové nádory a kraniocerebrální poranění.
Theoretical and practical aspects of cerebral blood flow measurement using the stable (non-radioactive) xenon-computed tomography method are described. The principle, advantages, limitations are discussed and the clinical experience is reviewed, with particular emphasis on study of cerebrovascular diseases, brain tumours, and head injuries.
BACKGROUND: To say data is revolutionising the medical sector would be a vast understatement. The amount of medical data available today is unprecedented and has the potential to enable to date unseen forms of healthcare. To process this huge amount of data, an equally huge amount of computing power is required, which cannot be provided by regular desktop computers. These areas can be (and already are) supported by High-Performance-Computing (HPC), High-Performance Data Analytics (HPDA), and AI (together "HPC+"). OBJECTIVE: This overview article aims to show state-of-the-art examples of studies supported by the National Competence Centres (NCCs) in HPC+ within the EuroCC project, employing HPC, HPDA and AI for medical applications. METHOD: The included studies on different applications of HPC in the medical sector were sourced from the National Competence Centres in HPC and compiled into an overview article. Methods include the application of HPC+ for medical image processing, high-performance medical and pharmaceutical data analytics, an application for pediatric dosimetry, and a cloud-based HPC platform to support systemic pulmonary shunting procedures. RESULTS: This article showcases state-of-the-art applications and large-scale data analytics in the medical sector employing HPC+ within surgery, medical image processing in diagnostics, nutritional support of patients in hospitals, treating congenital heart diseases in children, and within basic research. CONCLUSION: HPC+ support scientific fields from research to industrial applications in the medical area, enabling researchers to run faster and more complex calculations, simulations and data analyses for the direct benefit of patients, doctors, clinicians and as an accelerator for medical research.

The bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA) is useful in the forensic medicine. In Czechoslovakian criminology is this method not commonly used. The objective of this work is to calculate the impact length, height and distance splashing of blood drops. The results are compared with the real values for specific cases. It is also compared to calculate the angle of incidence of blood drops, using sinα with a form using tgα. For this purposes we used two different character cases from practice with well-preserved condition and readable blood stains. Selected blood stains were documented in order to calculate the angle of incidence of blood drops and to calculateorigin splashes. For this drop of blood, the distance of impact of the drops of blood (x), the height of the sprayed blood drops (y) and the length of the flight path the drop of blood (l). The obtained data was retrospectively analysed for the two models. The first straight line is represented by the triangle (M1) and the other is the parabolic model (M2). The formulae were derived using the Euler substitution. The results show that the angle of incidence of the drop of blood can be calculated as sinα and the tgα. When applying, the triangle is appropriate to consider the application and sinα parabolic requires the calculation of the angle of incidence drops of blood tgα. Parabola is useful for the BPA. In Czechoslovakian should be providing workplace training seminars BPA primarily intended for forensic investigators. We recommend the use of this method during investigations, verification of acts in forensic practice. For Healthcare, the potential benefits of applying ”Internet of Medical Devices” (IoMD) to solve both the cost problem and to improve patient safety and outcomes are tremendous. The medical industry is quickly adopting mobile technology (mHealth) as a means of connecting lay users with medical professionals. Unfortunately, current apps can be quite fragile to unespected event, and unpredictable changes can be very disorienting at enterprise level. These major changes, usually discontinuities referred to as fractures in the environment rather than trends, will largely determine the long-term future of organization. They need to be handled, as opportunities, as positively as possible. We need more robust, resilient and antifragile application to be ready for next generation systems. They are mandatory to develop antifragile self-organizing and self-regulating system further. Health Information community can take advantage of a new HICT Natural Framework proposal, to get a more reliable conceptualized synthetic and powerful systemic vision, to be used in advanced modeling for healthcare application and organization (HO) and high reliability organization (HRO) in general. Two application examples are presented. HICT Natural Framework can be used to develop competitive applications, from telemedicine apps, antifragile anticipatory learning system (ALS), health information management system, to health governances policies for advanced HO, new competitive HRO ”environmental friendly” information management strategies conveniently, and beyond. The present paper can give a relevant contribute to that perspective and to let you achieve pactical, operative results quite quickly.
Článek rovněž předkládá vybrané příklady dobré praxe ke zlepšení dostupnosti zdravotní péče a k začleňování migrantů do mainstreamového zdravotnického systému v Německu. - mecku
The article is focused on healthcare availability for migrants in Germany regarding broad context of current migration. A legal claim for healthcare of particular categories of migrants (e.g. migrants with residency status, asylum applicants and irregular migrants) is debated. A special attention is granted to healthcare availability for children. The article shows some examples of good practice in healthcare availability improvements and migrants ́ integration into mainstream health system in Germany.

Using western economic models evaluating cost/benefit in perinatal care, the author analyzed on examples of undesirable perinatal outcomes the health benefit as a result of extension of screening and therapeutic procedures ir in the Czech RepubUc in 1990-1996 as the efficacy, effectivity and efficiency of these procedures. The results of analyses provided evidence that extension of the above procedures led to a decline of undesirable outcomes, different for each of the five investigated types, but at the same time a considerable increase of costs was recorded which exceed resources available at present for health services in the Czech Republic. Further development of perinatal care which will have to overcome this discrepancy without jeopardizing the present high standard of perinatal care will have to consider a compromise which will achieve a balance between present professional knowledge and possibilities, the moral aspect, demands of society and available funds.
