Magnetická rezonance (MR) se stala uznávanou technikou pro vyšetření cévního systému. Starší nekontrastní technika time-of-flight (TOF) byla zdokonalena. Spolu s druhou nekontrastní technikou phase contrast (PC) jsou i nadále používány převážně v neuroradiologii a pro kvantifikaci průtoku. Kontrastní MR angiografíe (CE-MRA) je novou technikou, která se stává kompetitivní s klasickou digitální subtrakční angiografií (DSA) zvláště v oblasti aorty a periferních tepen. CEMRA je neinvazivní a kontrastní látky při ní užívané nejsou nefrotoxické a mají jen minimálni počet alergických komplikací. Důležitým faktorem u MR angiografie je použití pokud možno nejmenší velikosti voxelu (1 mm3 a méně), aby případná stenóza nebyla nadhodnocena.
Magnetic resonance (MR) has become an acknowledged technique for the examination of vascular system. The older non-contrast technique time-of-flight (TOF) was improved. Both methods are still used together with the other non-contrast technique of phase contrast (PC) predominantly in neuroradiology and for the quantification of flow rate. Contrast MR angiography (CE-MRA) is a novel technique, which has become competitive to classical digital subtraction angiography (DSA) especially in the area of aorta and peripheral arteries. CE-MRA is a non-invasive technique and contrast compounds employed are not nephrotoxic and induce minimum allergic complications. An important factor in MR angiography is the use of the least possible size of voxel (1 mm3 and less) in order to exclude overvaluation of possible stenosis.

V předloženém článku je zpracovaná historie a detailní technický popis robotického systému da Vinci. Popsány jsou výhody i nevýhody robotických operací. Je podán přehled o indikacích a počtu robotických operacích v ČR od první operace v roce 2005 až dosud. Celkem bylo provedeno 3 086 robotických operací od 1. 10. 2005 do 19. 3. 1010 v celé České republice. Autoři popisují i osobní zkušenosti z čtyřleté praxe dobře fungujícího Centra robotické chirurgie.
The following article outlines the history and technical parametres of the Da Vinci robotic system. It explains the advantages as well as disadvantages of the system. The indication and number of robotic operations conducted in the Czech Republic are also included and that since the first operation in 2005 till now. Between 1 October 2005 and 19 March 2010 there were 3,086 such operations conducted in CR. The authors also discuss their 4-year experience of working with the system.
